Storage breakthrough: new media boosts chlorella shelf life

Dear friends!
Today's post is about interim comparisons the storage results of three samples of the Chlorella Vulgaris GKO strain tested on a new nutrient media.
After 30 days of storage, we see the following.
1 part was stored in the fridge at a temperature of 3 degrees, everything is expected here, no changes in color or smell were noted during the period.
The 2nd part was stored under lighting and at room temperature, there is a little deposite, but there are no serious flakes and the color remains greenish, not brown, as it was before.
Finally, the 3rd part was stored in the dark and at room temperature, as at warehouse. Here we do not see any differences in the condition of the product from the sample from the fridge: no sediment and no rotten smell. The color is naturally green. Previously, this strain, when stored outside the fridge, gave off a rotten smell after a month.
Thus, the results show that the use of new nutrient media has an effect not only on the growth rate, but also on the strain's adaptability to storage conditions, which is often a limiting market factor.
We will continue testing cycles of new nutrient media to consolidate the result before launching it into production.
